Angela and Greg: Wedding

The more weddings I photograph, the more I fall in love with my job! It is so awesome to get to spend and document such a happy, love-filled day. Angela and Greg had a sweet, intimate ceremony and reception with just close friends and family. The whole flow of the day was so relaxed and family oriented. We started off at Angela's parent's house, where her and all of the Buzzotta girls got ready. It was perfect with all of their little kids running around, especially little miss Eva, Greg and Angela's daughter. Then, it was off for a quick stop at the Moonrise and then on to the Piper Palm House for the ceremony. This was the first time I have photographed a wedding here and let me tell you, it was a dream! Tons of beautiful natural light. We did a few quick pictures after the ceremony and then off to the reception at Oliva on the Hill. Another FANTASTIC venue! The reception was wonderful with amazing, heartfelt (yet funny) toasts and lots of good food and dancing. Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of such a special day. Enjoy the pictures!

I have to start off by saying this was one of the most unique, beautiful, heartfelt weddings I have ever been to. I haven't been able to stop telling people about it! No detail was overlooked, and everything was there for a reason from the table names/decorations to the specific dish that was served for dinner. They also had a special part in their ceremony where they asked guests to stand up and say anything they would like about the couple. I've never heard such beautiful things about two people. Julia and Brian you are so very lucky to have wonderful friends and family and I can tell how grateful you two are for them. Oh and I forgot to mention it was a blast too! I'm so glad you guys let me be a part of your special day. Enjoy the pictures!

Here is the second session from this morning. This is Talia and her husband Noel (and little pup Cora). They just got married not too long ago and were both very natural in front of the camera. Today, some girls that I work with and I had a fun little session together. We decided to all get together to help each other get some nice pictures of ourselves and our significant others. I can't believe my little love will be 2 in less than a week!! Ok, I might be a little biased but he is the coolest kid ever. Every time I see him, he's learned something new. It's absolutely amazing. Well, we had a blast the other day when I babysat him, just being silly and playing at the park. Amanda and Ted: Wedding

You might recognize these two from their engagement session :) Well, they got married the last weekend in June and it was a BEAUTIFUL wedding! I had never been to Branson before, and I'm not going to lie, the only thing I really knew about it was that Dolly Parton has a show there! But I have to say Amanda did a great job picking out the location for her wedding, a gorgeous wine garden and we had the perfect weather to go with it. Enjoy all of the pictures! As you can tell, I had a little trouble narrowing them down.

Amanda decided to do pictures before the ceremony, so here is their "first look." Their reactions couldn't be more joyful! It was an amazing moment.

I had such a great time photographing this couple around Kirkwood. We definitely found some interesting places to take pictures :) They were so laid back and down for anything. We had actually canceled and rescheduled the shoot about 3 times within 24 hours due to weather. But, they were ready and we got the last of the good weather for the night before it started storming again. It's been terrible weather here lately and I know I've said this already but seriously, I'm sick of this rain! Enjoy you two lovebirds!

I can't believe how fast all of these babies around me are growing up! Well, William is turning into quite the funny little guy. Every time I put my camera behind my back or would turn around for a second, he was cracking up! So I'd grab my camera real quick...nothing. I caught a few smiles though (thanks to his momma jumping up and down behind me!).

Kayci was my final project subject and one of my all-time favorite people to work with. Almost 14 years ago Kayci Fadler contracted a serious bacteria called Meningococcemia which invaded her tiny three-year-old body. Fifty plus surgeries later and the loss of her right arm and leg, Kayci prepares for Prom, a milestone in any teen's life, but one especially significant for her and her family after her less than hopeful prognosis as a toddler. It was pretty awesome to share this experience with her and her family.

Meet Abby Grace, an 8 year old competitive cheerleader from Columbia, MO. She's outgoing, very mature for her age and a real leader on the mini squad. She also competes on a squad with older girls, senior 2. Here are some pictures of her getting ready to compete at the jamfest cheer competition in Kansas City. The first two pictures are quite similar, I just love the moment in the first one and her brother Jackson's expression in the second. Jackson, like any other little boy, was very confused and intrigued by the make-up. More pictures from the rest of the day and my project coming soon.

What a fun last assignment!! I think I can do a lot more things with this technique though and will definitely keep practicing. Anyhoo, there were some difficulties we encountered, such as being surrounded by a gang of raccoons but overall it was a great couple of nights. These pictures were taken with an ISO 100, F4, and the shutter speed on bulb. For both of these pictures I used flash and a flashlight. Oh and by the way can anyone tell me how to make my photos bigger on this page? It's already on the large setting. Thanks!

For this assignment, Amanda and I went to Twilight Dance Studio and photographed an adult ballet class and some private lessons. Everyone there was extremely nice and looked like they were having a great time! I think we did a pretty good job considering the insane amounts of glass, windows, and metal that we encountered.

This was a fun assignment!! I don't know if it was because I was at the bowling alley or because the point was to get a blurry picture, but it was a good time. I couldn't decide which picture was my favorite, so here are there from my shoot. I like the second one, but the flash seems to be very noticeable and maybe even "ugh". I like the action that I caught in that picture though and he just so happened to get a strike on that shot as well!

AMF bowling center in Columbia Missouri, was packed this Wednesday night April 9th. Perhaps it was the dollar games or students needing a break in the middle of their school week.

Metal and Glass

I taped two wires under this model car where the exhaust pipes are, put rubber cement on it and lit it on fire. It was hanging vertically from a stand with fishing wire.

I was having difficulty trying to get the fishing wire to not show up in the picture. This is the same picture as above but I cloned the background and photoshopped the fishing wire out of the picture.
